FAF Developments successfully trained 88 people in the basic techniques in modern agricultural production in Gambella, Ethiopia.

The training session started with a welcome by Sias, FAF project leader, with translations provided by Aregaw, FAF agronomist/local liaison. The main topics covered were corn production, pest control, harvesting and agricultural equipment. The majority of the time was spent on the proper use and care for the farm machinery. The training was designed to provide a basic introduction to the skills needed for the efficient use of the farm’s machinery. Specific topics discussed were purpose of each machine, tractor driving, engine operation, hydraulics, equipment maintenance and safety.

This training session was received in good spirit and there were many meaningful discussions regarding the different implements and its functions. Overall, every person took part in the training provided and the people were very grateful for the effort and time that was used to broaden their knowledge.
