FAF associates have done several projects in Africa. These include – Managed extensive cropping operation with mixed field crops that included wheat, maize and seed maize, soybeans, paprika and a beef breeding herd of 350 head (Conducted hunting and guiding safaris within a 3500 hectares game farm). Administered a 10,000 hectares cattle ranch and 3000Ha game farm. Three separate breeding herds totaling 2000 head of cattle. Maintained and managed a game population, managed self-catering game lodges for non-hunting safaris (Developed quality standards to successfully obtain ISO 9000 accreditation). Supervised 200 hectares cropping operation growing cotton and bean crops (Assisted with set up, development and maintenance of a non-hunting safari camp). Guided two companies, representing over 40 growers that were involved in exporting and marketing flowers into Europe, Australia and South Africa. Led a flower project involved in the production and marketing for export and local sales of Carnations and Chrysanthemums in greenhouse production, Amaranthus and Eryngium (Planum and Blue Angel) in open field production. Directed farms producing soybeans, field and seed corn, wheat, groundnuts, tobacco and cattle.
