FAF successfully led the management of over 300,000 metric tons of USDA Food for Progress hard red winter wheat shipments to Sudan under the Abraham Accords, delivering impact in one of the world’s most fragile and complex operating environments. As the primary implementing partner, FAF ensured the wheat was delivered, distributed, and used as intended to support national food security, while taking full responsibility for end-to-end monitoring and data collection across a volatile supply chain. Navigating severe political unrest and bureaucratic obstacles, FAF not only fulfilled its mission but also built critical local trade capacity and enhanced food system resilience—earning an “Excellent” performance rating from the USDA for its effectiveness, integrity, and execution in a high-stakes humanitarian initiative.
