FAF was instrumental in the development and management of Aftech-JA, Inc., Trelawny, Jamaica a Caribbean fruit and vegetable operation from start-up [putting together a technical management team] to putting together a group of investors to buy the company. FAF supported all aspects of the farm [market oriented] from planting through production, irrigation, packaging and exporting of high value crops. Products of squash, cantaloupe, peppers, sweet corn, mangoes and papaya were part of the mix. Sales were made to U.S.A., Canada, and United Kingdom. About 350 Jamaicans and three expatriates were employed. FAF managed, operated and leased this project for seven years with commendable results by increasing yields and reducing costs.
